If you travel through Albania whether you are passing through valleys and ravines or hills and mountains, you will notice many unique villages surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery. A typical village has a unit of local government, a clinic with a family doctor and a public elementary school. There are hundreds of thousands of children living in these villages who have never been exposed to activities such as crafts, sports, games or even a playground. There are no such things as community centers or activities for children and youth; no places where they can just play and be kids. The only activity the children do daily is school. As the parents are busy with their agricultural work the kids try to entertain themselves or help with family duties.
There have been organizations, throughout the last 30 years of democracy, that have helped some of the villages with food and clothing supply. However, there is no evidence of non-profits, churches or government entities providing spiritual, social and educational activities for children and youth. That is why we had to do something to fill this gap. No matter where children live they deserve the best opportunities. God’s Love is unconditional.
First, we connect with the closest church or an organization’s leadership in the area that express a desire to serve in the community by providing volunteers and different resources. We share our mission and vision, and if they are willing to collaborate we partner with them.
Secondly, we rent an appropriate location with an outdoor area that can hold up to 200 people. Most of the churches in Albania do not have the capacity financially or the resources physically to have big summer camps or other big events.
Thirdly, the church or a community leader connects with parents and/or the school board to invite the children. Then we come and perform the events.
Last, we get the feedback from the community and/or local church leaders and based on the impact we establish programs for the youth in the area on a weekly basis.
Our Mission is to build community centers serving the Albanian villages. These community centers will be used to provide services including, but not limited to spiritual and educational activities for children and adults, youth sports leagues, youth summer camps and special events.
Our Vision is to spread these community centers in villages throughout Albania, with the collaboration of local churches.
One God
There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), who is infinitely perfect (Matthew 5:48), existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Jesus Christ is the true God and the true man (Philippians 2:6–11). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:34–38). He died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust (1 Peter 3:18), as a substitutionary sacrifice (Hebrews 2:9), and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood (Romans 5:9). He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures (Acts 2:23–24). He is now at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest (Hebrews 8:1). He will come again to establish His kingdom, righteousness and peace (Matthew 26:64)
Divinity of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is a divine person(John 14:15–18), sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer (John 16:13; Acts 1:8), and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:7–11) .
Authority of the Scriptures
The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice (2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:15–16) .
